Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping Surgery)
Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a "nose job," is one of the most sought-after facial cosmetic procedures worldwide. At Amit Aesthetics in Aligarh, Dr. Amit Agrawal brings over 29 years of surgical expertise to deliver natural-looking, harmonious results that complement your unique facial features. Whether you seek to correct a dorsal hump, refine a bulbous nasal tip, or improve breathing function, rhinoplasty can address both aesthetic and functional concerns in a single procedure.
The surgery is performed through either an open or closed approach depending on the complexity of the correction required. In an open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made across the columella (the tissue between the nostrils), providing the surgeon with direct visualization of the nasal framework. In a closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are hidden inside the nostrils, resulting in no visible external scarring. Dr. Agrawal carefully evaluates your nasal anatomy, skin thickness, and aesthetic goals during your consultation to recommend the most appropriate technique.
Modern rhinoplasty is a precision procedure that reshapes the underlying bone and cartilage to achieve the desired contour. Advanced techniques such as cartilage grafting and controlled osteotomies allow for predictable, lasting results while maintaining or improving nasal airflow. Every rhinoplasty at our clinic is tailored to the individual — there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nose surgery.

Recovery & Aftercare
A nasal splint is applied immediately after surgery and is typically removed after 7 days. Mild to moderate swelling and bruising around the eyes and nose is normal and subsides progressively over 2–3 weeks. Most patients return to work and normal daily activities within 10–14 days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 4–6 weeks. While the nose looks significantly improved within the first month, final results may take up to 12–18 months as residual swelling fully resolves — particularly at the nasal tip.
