Dermaroller & Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. This controlled micro-injury triggers the body's natural wound-healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin — the proteins responsible for firm, youthful, and resilient skin. At Amit Aesthetics in Aligarh, we perform professional microneedling using both dermaroller devices and advanced motorized microneedling pens for precise, consistent results.
Microneedling is remarkably versatile, effectively treating a wide range of skin concerns including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, sun damage, uneven skin texture, and hand rejuvenation. The micro-channels created during treatment also enhance the absorption of topical serums and growth factors by up to 300%, making it an ideal treatment to combine with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), hyaluronic acid serums, or vitamin C for amplified results.
Most patients require a series of 3-6 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. The treatment is suitable for all skin types, including Indian skin tones, and has a far lower risk of pigmentation changes compared to laser treatments. Each session takes 30-45 minutes, and while the skin may appear red for 24-48 hours afterward, there is minimal downtime — most patients return to their normal routine the next day. Collagen remodeling continues for several months after treatment, with progressive improvement visible over 6-12 months.

Recovery & Aftercare
Skin will appear pink to red immediately after treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. This typically subsides within 24-48 hours. Mild swelling and sensitivity may persist for 1-2 days. Avoid direct sun exposure, makeup, and active skincare products (retinoids, AHAs) for 48-72 hours post-treatment. Full healing occurs within 5-7 days.
